Ideas/Roadhouse/and Burner
So the idea that I'm thinking is building a music/entertainment community... I guess there are some that have that around here, but I've lacked that most of the time. And it's the time that I've never took. I do stay busy, it seem like I should get more done, and I've always got more to do that I've got the time and energy to do. And I seem to be able to waste a lot of time and not get anything done. Activity and accomplishment are two different things. The activity part is easy, but I have to use a check list to accomplish very much.
I've always had a lot of ideas, it's choosing which ones to follow up on, and staying on track, that's the hard part.
It's like last week I had the idea of using my place as a venue... calling it "Southern Acts Roadhouse". A place I could entertain a few people (I figure 10 would be a housefull). Cook a little something, play some music, just hang out a build a social life.
I even thought about letting acts traveling through town (Albany, GA) use it for the night... I mean that's what a roadhouse is right?
On another note I got a video editor program yesterday... but it seems that I'm gonna have to get a DVD burner too, so I don't fill up my hard drive. It's always something.

Kitty, Kitty, Kitty
Another week has passed, I posted a video a few minutes ago...
My version of Searching, from last Saturday at Kittys Flea Market. So I'm a week behind, but it will be almost 2 week by Monday. There's not much time for uploading during the weekends. I've been looking for a video editor today, loaded up a few, but none of them worked quite right for me. They kept causing this computer to freeze up.
So, we'll be back at Kittys this weekend, it's an every week thing... till things move on. And they will.
Come hang out a while if you're in the Albany area (GA).
I got up Friday with that Eagles song, "Best Of My Love," on my mind, and hopefully learnt most of the words. Should really be working on original stuff, on the other hand I was thinking that I should go ahead a shoot for 7 sets of cover tunes, about 75 songs. That's about 30 more than I'm doing right now, but I know there's a set or so that I pretty much know but haven't been doing... most likely from lack of time. But I really need to figure out what my best set is out of the songs I'm doing.is.
Well, it's after Midnight time to head for bed... soon as I get these couple of other things done.

Better Weather
So here it is, the middle of another week... I got my computer fixed and have back most of my information, just some video stuff missing and a video editing program. This past weekend was better as for as the weather went, I recorded a video each day... but I'm having a problem editing them. They load up on the computer or the DVD recorder, but want load up on either of the players I have. Which makes it impossible to upload anything from them. I'll figure out something...
I've went through my profiles and made a few changes, but what I'm missing most is people. Music is strange in that, for me, I've had to spend a lot of time in the wood shed, to learn the little that I know. But to be successful as a musician you have to have popularity... that I've had very rarely. Most likely because I've spent too much time in the woodshed instead of out being socialable.

Crash, No Video, and Reverbnation
So I got up Saturday and had a bunch of warnings on my computer, final downloaded the AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition and cleaned out the trojan stuff, I have no desk top... I guess that's called a crash... I think that I made a disk to for back up, but I haven't got to it yet, so I'm just making do for now. Was able to get online thanks to the Yahoo Messenger popping up and having a seach box.
Sunday was cold, damp, and windy but we went to Kittys Flea market and set up, played my 4 sets and did some karaoke. Recorded it but when we got home the video didn't have no video... just sound. I'll have to figure out what I can do with it... add some pictures or a different video or maybe just post it as audio on Reverb.
So I made Reverb Profile for Southern Acts http://www.reverbnation.com/label/southernacts#! and I've sent the feed from this blog there.

Wash Out
Well we went to Kittys Flea Market yesterday and sit up... but it was a wash out. Between the rain and the wind we called it a day and left early. No singing and playing... no recording.
Maybe we will have better luck today... just the wind and a bit colder. If you're out and about around Albany, Georgia... come on by, we sing and play guitar. Also we have musical instruments for sale.

Well we are tieing in our Southern Acts Facebook Page and created a @SouthernActs Twitter Account this morning (this still needs a lot of work... ) to our website southernacts.com . We have added a couple of more videos Bring It Own Home and Whiskey Rock-A-Roller.
